At AMP Nutraceuticals, quality comes first, but what exactly constitutes a high-quality dietary supplement? Creating and manufacturing a high-quality dietary supplement is a complicated, intricate process that necessitates extensive knowledge of every part of the dietary supplement or dietary ingredient supply chain. Our quality begins at the formulation stage, from selecting high-quality raw materials and ensuring that the input per serving of raw material in the formulation meets the finished product label claim, to testing and ensuring the identification and strength of the raw material present in the finished product. All finished dietary supplements undergo testing for identity, strength, containment, and purity before they are released for distribution.
On-Site Testing
UPLC (Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography)
Use to Detect, Sperate, and Quantify different components present in the finished product and raw material by pushing solvents through a column under high pressure. The quality control analyses of diverse dietary supplements formulation are moved from HPLC to the UPLC technology. The UPLC system can shorten the time required for analysis by as much as nine times compared to traditional systems. The UPLC system is accompanied with the 21 CFR compliance software “Empower” to process the generated chromatography. At AMP Nutra, the UPLC system is used for identification or Quantification of Amino acids, Vitamins and botanicals present in finished products.
Soleris® Next Generation
Use for rapid microbial testing of finished products and raw materials. It reduces test time to as little as 14 hours to 18 hours compared to traditional methods. The system is accompanied with the 21 CFR compliant software to provide results in less time compared to the traditional methods. At AMP Nutra, Soleris Next Gen is used for following rapid microbial analysis of Yeast and Mold, Total Viable Count, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus spp., and, Salmonella spp.
Fourier Transfer Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)
Use for rapid screening to confirm the quality of the raw material. The FTIR system is accompanied with the 21 CFR Compliant Software to process the spectrograph. At AMP Nutra, FTIR is used for the rapid identification of the receiving raw materials and to release the raw material by the Quality Control
Third Party Testing Contract Laboratories
Use mostly for protein, minerals, and heavy metal analysis on finished products. The third-party contract laboratory goes under stringent AMP Nutra’s contract laboratory qualification process prior to sending samples for analysis or the third-party contract laboratory has to be ISO 17025 certified.
StabilityTesting
We offer stability testing as per the client request to determine the shelf life of the Dietary Supplement. Our team of experts designs the stability protocol per product based on scientific evidence. We use Accelerated stability testing in conjunction with Real-time stability to predict shelf life in a faster way and to identify the potential stability issues.
